This classic memoir written by America's top scoring ace of WWI was first published in 1919. Captain Rickenbacker was one of the commanders of the 94th Aero Squadron, "Hat-in-the-Ring." This squadron contained many pilots who had flown in the Lafayette Escadrille before America entered the war. The 94th ended the war as the highest scoring squadron in the AEF (American Expeditionary Force).
