Republic P-47D Thunderbolt "Tarheel Hal" 1:48 Model
This Hobby Master diecast metal Republic P-47D Thunderbolt represents Tarheel Hal the personal mount of Lt. Ike Davis belonging to the 366 FS, 358 FG, 9th AF, May 1945.
The original "Tarheel Hal" is a WWII survivor. Following the war it spent time in the Venezuelan Air Force, eventually becoming part of the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas. In 2020 the plane returned to Evansville Indiana where it was built in 1944. Renamed "Hoosier Spirit II" it is now a part of the Evansville Wartime Museum.
Model features authentic paint scheme with pad printed markings, positionable landing gear and pilot figure. Display stand included.
