The Rise and Fall of Boeing: And the Way Back

Scott Hamilton began his career in commercial aviation in 1979 with the first Midway Airlines in Chicago. His journey spanned 46 years through 2025. He co-founded a British company that included Commercial Aviation Report, Commercial Aviation Value Report, and Commercial Aviation Events. After selling this company in 1999, he immediately founded the consulting firm Leeham Co. in the USA, followed by Leeham News and Analysis in 2008. In 2021, he wrote Air Wars, The Global Combat Between Airbus and Boeing, covering 35 years of bitter competition between the two giants. He followed the career of John Leahy, who became known as Airbus's super-salesman, who was with Airbus for 33 years. The tough sales campaigns, product strategy, the fatal crashes of two Boeing 737 MAXes and the COVID-19 pandemic, with their impacts on Boeing and aerospace, is also covered. The Rise and Fall of Boeing: And the Way Back is Hamilton's sequel to Air Wars, bringing Boeing's predicament up to date in 2025.
