The small Chance Vought F4U-1A Corsair Illustration is hand drawn by aviation artist Doug Kinsley and printed on acid free paper with a grey mat. Initially passed over for deployment on the Navy's fleet carriers the Corsairs were warmly embraced by Marine and Navy units operating from island bases. The Corsair Doug chose to portray is "Sun Setter," belonging to VMF 113 "Whistling Devils" while based on Engebi Island, Eniwetok Atoll, in 1944.
The small version of the matted F4U-1A print measures approximately 10.75" x 7" and comes shrink-wrapped on foam core.
