This release from Hobby Master represents P-51D Mustang SN: 44-14570, "Thunder Bird" assigned to the 335th FS, 4th FG, Pilot: Capt. Ted E. Lines. Lines was born in Mesa Arizona. He completed flight training in October 1943 and joined the 335th Fighter Squadron of the 4th Fighter Group in April 1944. He scored his first victory, a Bf 109, in May and became an ace on 10 September when he downed 3 more Bf 109s and a Ju 88.
