Earth can be seen in the background of the black starry sky that covers the front of this pop-up card. The Lunar Lander appears to be landing on the cratered surface of the moon. Upon opening this design, a 3D foil Lunar Lander pops up from the gray moon surface. A short distance behind, a pop-up astronaut plants an American flag into the moon's battered surface.
Inspiration for the Lunar Lander Card:
Our designer Joe was inspired by Apollo 11 when working on this design. "My favorite part of this design is the use of materials on the sculpture," Joe said. "The shiny silver paper paired with gold foil stamping on gold paper makes the lander really stand out. It was fun getting all of the little details right, like the plaque that was actually left on the moon."
