This magnet highlights four iconic Boeing aircraft that are also significant parts of the Museum's collection.
From left to right: the Boeing Model 40B is a faithful reproduction, created for the Museum to tell the story of the early Air Mail routes. Next is the Boeing Model 80A-1, pictured in flight and leading right into the Museum's logo. It was the successful effort to save this very aircraft that led to the Museum's creation in 1965. Next is the distinctive Boeing 747-121, the first 747, restored to its original 1968 roll-out livery. And, on the far right, is the most modern aircraft to join the collection, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, ZA003. This aircraft (the third 787 built) introduced the 787 to the world at the Farnborough airshow, on July 18, 2010.
