C-130 Hercules, SEA Camouglage Postage Stamp 1:200 Model
This die-cast metal model of the C-130 features the official Air Force insignia and faithful coloring matching the "SEA Camo" camouflage design. For Adult Collectors ages 14+.
"SEA" stands for Southeast Asia and features a multi-color and pattern camouflage design, utilized during the Vietnam War for low-level visual concealment against jungle environments, and later adapted for desert conflicts. This paint scheme features dark green, medium green, dark tan, with gray undersurfaces. Like the mythological Greek hero it is named after, the C-130 Hercules delivered a truly heroic moment during the fall of Saigon. A single aircraft flown by a South Vietnamese pilot carried 452 refugees to Thailand, 32 of them in the cockpit alone. Overloaded by at least 10,000 pounds, it took every foot of the runway to become airborne, the pilot hitting the brakes while taxiing to close the rear doors.
