Blaire Coolidge learns of her late great-grandmother Alice's unknown marriage to 1st Lt. David Reynolds, US Army Flying Corps, a young American aviator lost without a trace in 1918 during aerial combat over France. Alice's family objected to the marriage prior to David's departure for war-torn Europe, but deeply in love, they wed. Post war attempts by Alice to find her missing husband are futile and she returns home. With the aid of a German man, Blair eventually uncovers an amazing revelation on the mysterious fate of Lt. David Reynolds.
D.M. Ulmer, a docent at the Seattle Museum of Flight, specializes in WWI aviation and holds an FAA Commercial Pilot certificate. He served thirty-two years as a submariner in the US Navy. He lives with his wife Carol, in Redmond Washington.
