The T-45 Goshawk is a tandem-seat jet trainer used by the US Navy and Marine Corps pilots for carrier capable training. The T-45 Goshawk replaced the T-2C Buckeye and the TA-4J Skyhawk with an integrated training system that included the aircraft, high-fidelity instrument and flight simulators, and logistics support. First delivered in 1997, the T-45C had a reinforced airframe and more robust landing gear to handle the stresses of catapult take off and carrier landings. Later versions also have enhanced avionics systems, which include the adoption of a glass cockpit and head-up display (HUD), similar to the Navy's advanced jet fighters.
This diecast metal Postage Stamp model features authentic paint scheme with pad printed details. Landing gear are permanently retracted, display stand included as shown.
