Utilized by both the US Navy and Marine Corps the Grumman F9F Panther was the most extensively used fighter in the Navy's arsenal during the Korean War, over 700 aircraft were commissioned in total. Its Pratt & Whitney J48-P-6A turbojet engine gave it 6,250 lbs. of thrust. This engine enabled the F9F to fly at a maximum speed of 579 mph. This model is in the markings of USMC Squadron VMF-311, based at Pohang, South Korea, 1952. Landing gear permanently retracted, stand included.
