Pan American Airways pioneered global air travel with their fleet of magnificent flying boats. The majestic Model 314 represents the pinnacle development of that golden age. Entering service on June 28, 1939 for Pan American Airways 314 was also the largest passenger transport of her time. Pan Am purchased 12 Model 314's from the Boeing Airplane Company. Tragically, their career as commercial passenger carrying transports was cut short by America's entry into WWII on December 7th, 1941.
This beautiful mahogany desktop model is hand-carved and painted, with authentic markings for the Dixie Clipper.
