The American Volunteer Group (AVG) commonly known as the Flying Tigers remain one of the most recognizable fighter groups from World War II. Their nickname derived from the shark mouth nose art they painted on their Curtiss P-40 Warhawks.
This reusable cotton face mask is printed with the gaping jaws of a Tiger shark on the nose of a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, just like the one on display in the Museum's Personal Courage Wing.
Mask is constructed with two inside layers of cotton and an outer layer of polyester. Medium mask measures 6.3" wide x 4.3" tall.
