This diecast metal model from Hobby Master represents a Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat assigned to VF-3 aboard the USS Lexington (CV-2). On February 20, 1942 flying this aircraft Lieutenant Commander Edward Henry "Butch" O'Hare single handedly attacked a formation of nine Mitsubishi G4M "Betty" bombers shooting down five of them becoming the US Navy's first Ace. Two months later LTCDR O'Hare was awarded the Medal of Honor for this action, the first navy pilot to do so.

Model features authentic paint scheme with pad printed markings, optional position landing gear, underwing fuel tanks, pilot figure and display stand.
