"The Museum of Flight's Apollo Ornament is made of lightweight, lacquered brass and commemorates the six Apollo lunar landings, which took place between July 20, 1969, and December 14, 1972. The ornament's foreground features an Apollo astronaut with the American flag and the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM). In the background, the Command/Service Module can be seen in lunar orbit, with Earth rising at the lower right. The quotation, "WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND," appears on a plaque that is mounted on each LEM, all six of which remain on the Moon.
"The ornament measures approximately 3 inches (76 millimeters) wide by 2¾ inches (70 millimeters) tall."
