The Fokker Dr.1 Triplane is one of the most recognized fighter aircraft of WWI. Made famous by the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, the Triplane was only his mount for a short time. He achieved most of his victories in Albatros fighters. This colorful model represents one flown by Lieutenant Rudolf Klimke, Jasta 27, May 1918. The anchor insignia was a good luck talisman suggested by his mother.
